When my son turned 16 we allowed him to get his Learner's Permit.
He started driving on the weekends in a very large industrial warehouse area driving around buildings, starting and stopping.

Once comfortable we moved to driving on the roads where we encountered experienced drivers following a bit to close, honking because we weren’t going the speed limit. These events made me realize other drivers had no idea there was a new driver behind the wheel in my car.

Driving schools and community schools who give driving lessons all display STUDENT DRIVER on their cars. We recognized the need for something simple to alert other drivers that a new driver is behind
the wheel.

After working on various designs and recommendations—some pretty funny and others that could not be printed—we came up with our current NEW DRIVER magnet designs.
